Dr. Cox's suspension puts his future at the hospital in doubt.
Elliot gets a patient whose jaw is wired shut. He turns out to be a therapist named Dr. Greenberg. She pours her heart out to him, but then feels depressed when he leaves. Turk tells her it's okay to talk to a therapist, so she goes to see the therapist that was her patient, resulting in a true reversal of roles.
Turk spends the night at Carla's but her mother catches him and freaks out. She is reluctant to spend the night at Turk's because her mother "is frail", but she finally agrees. That night, her mother breaks her leg. Carla feels terrible about it and gets upset at Turk, feeling that the accident was her fault. Dr. Cox attempts to allay her concerns; convincing her that her mother would have broken her leg anyway, so she should be allowed to live her own life.
