After Turk performs a difficult surgery without an attending Elliot confides in JD that she doesn't feel like a doctor because she hasn't had a 'sink or swim' moment like Turk had. JD later beats Elliot to a medical code and saved a man's life, and Elliot is mad at him from stealing her chance. Later in the episode there is another code and JD allows Elliot to perform the procedure. After the patient unfortunately dies Elliot realizes who she is and refers to herself as Doctor for the first time.
J.D. sees Janitor talking to Todd. Strangely, he is talking to him in an English accent, asking him to try one of his "Tea Buns" (which are actually scones) he is holding.
