The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, also referred to as NFTE (pronounced Nifty), is an international non-profit organization dedicated to providing entreprenership education programs to young people from low-income communities. NFTE's vision is that every young person will find a pathway to prosperity.
NFTE was founded in the South Bronx section of New York City in 1987 and has since grown into an international organization with programs in 21 states and 12 countries, with an active corps of more than 1,500 teachers. NFTE has reached over 280,000 young people since it began. It was founded by Steve Mariotti.
