"Nick & Nora/Sid & Nancy" is the fifth episode of the second season of the television series Gilmore Girls. It originally aired on October 30, 2001. Rory starts her junior year at Chilton. Paris is editor of the school newspaper The Franklin, and she is determined to make Rory's life miserable. When Rory tries to make peace with Paris, Paris tells her an incorrect time for the meeting. By the time Rory gets to the meeting, the only article available is about the repaving of the faculty parking lot. She winds up writing an excellent article and is singled out for praise by Mrs. O'Malley. In retaliation, since Paris had witnessed an awkward encounter between Rory and Mr. Medina, Paris assigns her to interview him. The interview actually goes well because it gives Rory and Mr. Medina their first chance to talk since the broken engagement.
