Nickel Creek was an American acoustic music trio. Although the group's music has roots from bluegrass, the trio describes itself as "progressive acoustic". Nickel Creek consisted of three permanent members: Chris Thile (mandolin), Sara Watkins (fiddle), and her brother Sean Watkins (guitar).
