Emmerich's brother, Toby Emmerich, is president and chief operating officer at New Line Cinema and a screenwriter as well, and his brother, Adam Emmerich, is a leading mergers & acquisitions lawyer at the firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in New York.
