Norman Eshley

Norman Eshley (born 30 May 1945 in Bristol) is an English actor best known for his roles on television. He is possibly best known for his role in the sitcom George and Mildred as the snobbish real estate agent Jeffrey Fourmile, the foil to George. Norman Eshley (born 30 May 1945 in Bristol) is an English actor best known for his roles on television. He is possibly best known for his role in the sitcom George and Mildred as the snobbish real estate agent Jeffrey Fourmile, the foil to George. He had previously played characters in its predecessor Man About the House, most famously Robin's brother who married Chrissy, but previously a sleazy married executive who tried to seduce Chrissy. Eshley attended Bristol Grammar School and worked in a bank, before training as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He then played many Shakespearian roles on stage and his first screen role was in the 1968 Orson Welles directed film The Immortal Story.
