North Hollywood is a district in the San Fernando Valley region of the City of Los Angeles, California along the Tujunga Wash. Established by the Lankershim Ranch Land and Water Company in 1887, the town was first named Toluca before being renamed Lankershim in 1896 and North Hollywood in 1927.
