Norvegia Dataparty (Norvegia for short) is a computer party located in Skien, Norway. It is held annually in the end of the autumn school break, and lasts for four days. Every year it attracts around 250 people.
The first Norvegia Dataparty was held in the gym hall of Skien vg. skole October 1997. The party was originally oriented around copying warez, demoscene and social activities. Norvegia was an important meeting point for computer-interested youth in the Grenland area of Telemark, but it also attracted people (mainly demosceners) from all over the country. In later years, gaming became a more dominant ingredients and the party gradually lost most of its broader audience. Norvegia was last held in 2005. Several circumstances prevented the 2006 party from taking place. It is not clear whether or not further Norvegia-parties will be arranged.
Norvegia Dataparty organize both Demoscene and computer games competitions.
