4. Hitting slice backhands is also easier when hit one-handed. Double handed slice is a tough shot which often misses the needed touch.

6. From an esthetic point of view a one-handed backhand is considered a beautiful shot, regardsless of its effectiveness
Downside of playing a one-handed backhand is the need for excellent timing and precision. If done correctly the one-handed backhand is a fierce shot with great pace. Maximum relaxation in the hitting arm is required. With a double handed backhand there is more room for correction. It often allows players to become more solid in rallyplay.
