It is a hybrid of two children's characters, Optimus Prime of the Transformers toy line and Mr. Potato Head.

In the Philippines, Optimash Prime became a fan groups' mascot, but become a cult personality on its own with well-known celebrities depicted in the photos posted at his Facebook page. The Optimash Prime had a minor upgrade namely a pair of "nipple eyes" taken from the Silly Suitcase set.
