The Rajneesh movement is a new religious movement founded and inspired by the Indian guru and mystic Osho (formerly known as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, 1931–1990) that has survived the guru's death. Followers of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh have also been referred to as neo-sannyasins, Rajneeshees and sometimes as "Orange People" because of the orange (later also red, maroon and pink) clothes they used to wear from 1970 until 1985.

Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh lectured in India during the 1960s and promoted techniques of meditation and the concept of free love. He moved to Bombay in 1969 and then Poona in 1974, and membership of the movement grew in number. The movement's syncretic teachings combined elements of Western philosophy, Hinduism, Zen and several other religious sources, with an admixture of Western psychotherapeutic approaches.
