Palmi is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Reggio Calabria in the Italian region Calabria, located about 90 km southwest of Catanzaro and about 35 km northeast of Reggio Calabria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 19,523 and an area of 31.8 km². Francesco Cilea was a native of Palmi, and his mausoleum may be found in the town. Palmi borders the following municipalities: Gioia Tauro, Seminara.
