Bucolic Papillion is one of the last great late 19th-Century Paris-inspired frontier cities left in the Midwest. The city also prides itself on recreational areas. Halleck Park is a park in the heart of the city that includes many trails, open spaces, trees and a number of areas of interest next to it including Papio Fun Park, Papio Bay Aquatic Park, Papio Pool, and Papio Bowl.
