Patricia Field (born February 12, 1941) is an American costume designer, stylist and fashion designer.
Field was born in 1941 in New York City to Greek and Armenian parents, who emigrated from Plomari Lesvos, Greece. She was raised in Astoria, Queens and has claimed credit for inventing the modern legging for women's fashion in the 1970s. She is the owner of the eponymous boutique Patricia Field.

The actress became so enchanted with Field's collections that they became friends and continued working with her on the series Sex and the City.
