Paul E. Kanjorski (born April 2, 1937) is an American Democratic politician from the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, currently representing Pennsylvania's 11th congressional district (map) in the United States House of Representatives. His district includes the cities of Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton as well as most of the The Poconos. He has served in the House since 1985.
Kanjorski was born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, near Wilkes-Barre, and is a lifelong resident of the town; however, he lives in northern Virginia for most of the year. He attended Wyoming Seminary, Temple University and the Dickinson School of Law and spent some time in the United States Army Reserve. Before entering politics, he served as a worker's compensation administrative law judge and served as assistant solicitor to several communities.
