Anvarian grew up in Richardson, Texas (a suburb of Dallas), the daughter of a photographer father and educator mother, who taught her how to sew at the age of six. Her family encouraged creativity in the home, prompting Anvarian to design her own clothes from age eight. In 1996 she moved to New York City and began assisting as a costume designer and stylist. Anvarian relocated to Los Angeles in 1999, and continued styling, doing extensive editorial, celebrity, and advertising work. Anvarian currently resides in Hollywood, California.
The Pegah Anvarian Collection began in 2000 with her first sets of orders coming from Henri Bendel in New York City and Madison in Los Angeles. The Pegah Anvarian Collection is currently distributed internationally. The Collection is produced in Los Angeles five times yearly.
