Peggy's parachute fails to open during her anniversary sky dive and she plummets to the ground. She survives the impact, however, by landing in a muddy field, and is rushed to the same hospital where her stepmother-in-law Didi has just given birth. Peggy is placed in a full body cast and begins the slow process of recovery. (Unlike many animated series, Peggy's recovery remains a plot element throughout several subsequent episodes, instead of Peggy having fully recovered by the next episode.) Meanwhile, Hank feels extensive guilt for having encouraged her to make the fateful jump, while at the same time desperate to keep her from remembering that he had done so.
