Hilton was born in Miami, Florida to parents from Cuba. he says he did not learn to speak English until he went to school. He graduated in 1996 from Belen Jesuit Preparatory School and received his BA in drama from New York University. In 2002 Hilton moved to Los Angeles, California, where he currently resides.
