Peter Charles Tabuns (born October 3, 1951) is a Canadian politician. He is currently serving as a member of the Ontario Legislative Assembly where he represents the riding of Toronto-Danforth as a member of the New Democratic Party. He launched a bid to lead the party after the previous leader, Howard Hampton, resigned. A leadership convention was held in March, 2009. Tabuns was defeated at that convention by Andrea Horwath.

Tabuns was born in London, Ontario in 1951 London, Ontario. As the son of recent immigrants to Canada, his family shared a home with other immigrants. His mother Sally was born and raised in England and his father Tony was born and raised in Latvia, which at the time was part of the former Soviet Union.
