Threats to Non-breeding (TN-r) indicates vulnerability due to the effects of current and future extrinsic conditions that threaten the ability of populations to survive over the non-breeding season within a given BCR. Evaluation of TN-r includes threats to habitat, as well as other factors affecting survival outside the breeding season. Unlike TN-c, which reflects threats to non-breeding populations across their non-breeding range, and may include threats that result from concentration during migration, TN-r considers threats within a given BCR that occur only during the non-breeding period when birds are relatively sedentary.
