Pittsford Sutherland High School is a public high school in suburban Rochester, Monroe County, Upstate New York.
One of the two high schools in the town, it is located at 55 Sutherland Street (from which the school gets its name). Located in the historic village of Pittsford, Pittsford Sutherland High School has consistently been ranked as one of the top 100 high schools in the nation according to an annual listing in Newsweek. In 2008, Pittsford Sutherland was in 61st place and in 2011 was in 73rd place.
In 2004, Pittsford Schools started a renovation project on all buildings in the district. Sutherland is in Phase II of this process, with the addition of a new auditorium, gymnasium, 16 new classrooms (2 of which are Physics-only rooms) and commons area. In addition, Sutherland students got a new library which was constructed in the old auditorium space.
