When Moya discovers a former Peacekeeper Command Carrier destroyed and abandoned in the Uncharted Territories, the crew boards to investigate and see if they can scavenge anything from it. Rygel recognises it as the Zelbinion, "the most feared ship in the Peacekeeper armada," which went missing in battle 100 cycles ago. It was also the ship Rygel was first imprisoned and tortured on after losing his throne, and it was commanded by the vicious and sadistic Captain Selto Durka, a Peacekeeper legend whom Aeryn reveres as a great hero.
Moya's crew quickly discovers that the hulk was long ago stripped, but that someone is on the ship: a Peacekeeper technician named Gilina, left there with several others by Captain Crais to explore it while the Command Carrier continued its search for Moya. Gilina recognises the crew as the escaped prisoners...
