Placental Growth Factor, encoded by the PGF gene, belongs to the PDGF/VEGF growth factor family. Placental Growth Factor is active in angiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration. Three isoforms exist from alternative splicing. (From LocusLink)
