Post-grunge

Post-grunge is a subgenre of alternative rock that emerged in the early 1990s as a derivative of grunge. Generally, bands labeled as such are rock bands that are influenced by grunge. Their music may often incorporate the distorted guitar, angst-filled lyrics and "loud-quiet" dynamics of grunge, but employ more commercial or 'radio-friendly' production. Post-grunge also tends to be driven more by musical lyrics than by tune.
