He often declares himself as a detective, sporting a pipe and a hat in the likeness of Sherlock Holmes. Whilst he is sporting this gear he often devotes his time to finding clues and following them, much like Sherlock himself, he also often produces a magnifying glass out of thin air to look at footprints and the like.
There was only one time when Gumby and Prickle were enemies in "Point of Honor." Afterwards, they became friends again.
