Over the years religion has been a recurring subject, her Sin Paintings were exhibited in New York at the Bohen Foundation.
Between 2005-2009 Howard worked on her first commission, titled "Repetition is Truth - via dolorosa".The series is based on the Stations of the Cross but is also a broader commentary on the universality of human rights abuses and people’s capability for cruelty towards each other.
