Ricky calls up Earl who Red tells him he once fired, which Ricky follows suit and fires. Bob, desperate for a job, asks WFPP (a local radio station) owner Max if he has a job available. Max tells him he's looking for a women, so Donna takes her opportunity and gets a job at the station sorting records. At the station the head DJ, "Jerry Thunder" asks her if she has a boyfriend on air. Max motions that she say no so she says no, which makes Jerry dub her "Hot Donna."
