Călăraşi is a district (Moldovan: raion) in the central part of Moldova, with the administrative center at Călăraşi. As of January 1, 2005, its population was 75,100.
This region is very popular for its red wine,white wine, cognac. While Republic of Moldova where a part of Union Soviet, its wine were known far in all Union Soviet.
