Red's birthday dinner turns into a disaster when Bob and Midge each bring their own date, and Eric is upset that Donna confides in Hyde instead of him. Red & Kitty wake up and she reminds Red that it's his birthday only to see the ceiling cave in on their bed in front of them. Eric gives him a 2 X 4 for the roof, Hyde gives him booze from Donna's parent's cabinet, Laurie gives him $7 of the $20 that Kitty gave her to get him a gift, and Kitty gives him underwear. Kitty then tells him that Bob & Midge are going to take him out to dinner, much to his displeasure. "If they really liked me they'd leave me alone!" he says. At dinner Bob and Midge each show up with their own dates. Midge brings the therapist, Ted, and Bob brings Carol, who loves horses. Ted brings up a topic that's deep and tells Midge that it might be too deep for her, telling her no offense. Bob then yells at him not to insult his wife and he starts to kiss her hand, so... less
