On August 13, 2009, Thomas Lennon announced through Twitter that the show had ended its six-year run. In response to the cancellation, residents and officials of Reno have petitioned to save the show with efforts including a fundraiser where participants will toss 50,000 pounds of tomatoes at each other in downtown.
