Richard Martyn "Ricky" Foster (born 31 July 1985 in Aberdeen, Scotland) is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing for Aberdeen. Although blessed with great pace, Foster has drawn criticism for his lack of technical ability. He has, however, made significant progress during the 2007–2008 Season, impressing with a string of man-marking performances. Although naturally a right winger, Foster commonly played in the left back position when Aberdeen's first choice left back Richie Byrne was injured. For season 2008-09 he was given the number 3 shirt, previously worn by Byrne.
