On December 28, 2008, Richard Hendrix was accquired by the Dakota Wizards, a [National Basketball Association Development League] team based in Bismarck, North Dakota. During his tenure with Dakota, Hendrix led the team in rebounds and finished second overall in the league after being surpassed on the final day of the 2008-2009 by Dwayne Jones of the Austin Toros.
