Richard Hughes

Richard David Hughes (born 8 September 1975, Gravesend, Kent) is the drummer for the English rock band Keane. He is the oldest member of the band. Hughes attended Tonbridge School where he was friends with Tim Rice-Oxley and Dominic Scott. At the age of 17, he learned to play the drums, and when Scott and Rice-Oxley formed a small covers band in 1995 he was invited to join as drummer.
