Richard Wernick (born January 16, 1934) in Boston, Massachusetts is a US composer. Wernick studied with Irving Fine, Harold Shapero, Arthur Berger, Ernst Toch, Aaron Copland, and Boris Blacher at Brandeis University, and with Leon Kirchner at Mills College. He won the 1977 Pulitzer Prize for Music for his composition Visions of Terror and Wonder.
