Richard Westbrook (born 10 July 1975) is an English auto racing driver from Islington, London notable for his success racing Porsche cars. Richard Westbrook (born 10 July 1975) is an English auto racing driver from Islington, London notable for his success racing Porsche cars. As a boy he attended St Joseph's College, Ipswich public school. He has won both the Porsche Supercup international championship and the Porsche Carrera Cup in his native Great Britain.
The Porsche Carrera Cup commenced in 2002, and Richard was immediately a front-runner. He won the 2004 title, and was runner-up in 2003 and 2005. His 2005 totals for victories and pole positions are both series records. Having done a few Supercup races in 2002, he returned in 2005, in rounds which did not clash with his UK commitments. He won the season opener in Bahrain and came 9th overall.
2006 was a big year however. He finished every Supercup race on the podium, wrapping up the title with 2 races to go, against drivers such as Uwe Alzen, Alessandro Zampedri and Patrick Huisman. He has also done several Carrera races at home, alternating the car with Danny Watts...
