Robert I. MacDonnell has been a member of Safeway Inc. Board of Directors since November 26, 1986. He retired from Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., where he was a partner from 1982 to 2002, and now serves as Finance Chairman of All Kinds of Minds, a not-for-profit company serving learning disabled children. He is also a director of Xstrata (Schweiz) AG.
