Patrick appeared in multiple television series roles, including The Unit, The Sopranos and The Outer Limits. Patrick later gained worldwide recognition for playing John Doggett in the American science fiction-horror television show The X-Files, he premiered on the show on November 5, 2000. His performance earned him a Saturn Award in the category for "Best Actor on Television" in 2001 and nominated the following year for the same award in the category "Best Actor in a Television Series"....
