Robert Teitel is an American film producer. Robert Teitel is an American film producer. Teitel is most notable for producing the films Soul Food (1997), Men of Honor (2000), and the three films in the Barbershop series: Barbersop, Barbershop 2: Back in Business, and Beauty Shop. He is also co-producer of the television series Barbershop: The Series. He is a 1990 graduate of Columbia College Chicago. He has been associated with writer/director George Tillman, Jr. since they were students together at Columbia College. He recently announced that he will begin filming a documentary in Chicago on Illinois State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias while at a group gathering at the home of real estate financier Sean J.
