Rose Bay Secondary College caters for students in years 7-12 drawn primarily from the local area. The college also has a selective stream, created in 2005, for academically gifted and talented students with around 60 students enrolled in each year. Entry into the selective stream is conducted according to Selective High Schools Test in Year 6 prior to enrolling at the school in Year 7. Students in later years can seek to enrol in the selective stream by applying directly to the school.
