Sainte-Maxime is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. It lies 90 km (56 mi) from Nice and 130 km (81 mi) from Marseille. The main industry is Tourism. The small town is situated at the northern shore of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
