Sarah Larson is originally from Kent, Washington, where she grew up with two younger sisters. Her parents divorced when she was young. She attended Kentwood High School and The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, from which she graduated in 2001. Larson completed a bachelor of science, taking such classes as Chinese medicine, but later in the degree choosing more classes related to the performing arts such as Orissa dancing. She moved to Las Vegas in 2001.
Larson was a contestant on the TV game show Fear Factor. She and partner Dan Randolph won the 2005 series, Fear Factor: Las Vegas Duos, in which they ingested live scorpions, among other feats.
