Scott Alan Moore (born Noveber 17, 1983, in Long Beach, California) is a Major League Baseball infielder in the Baltimore Orioles organization. He was born on the same day as major league stars Ryan Braun and Nick Markakis.
Moore was selected in the first round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft as the eighth overall pick by the Detroit Tigers.

Moore was sent to Chicago as one of four players to be traded in 2005 for pitcher Kyle Farnsworth. He didn't become the full time starter everyone expected in the Cubs organization because of Aramis RamÃrez blocked his playing time at third base during the 2006-07 seasons.
Moore made his major league debut on September 4, 2006, against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was called up again on July 20, 2007 to start at first base against the Arizona Diamondbacks after a suspended Derrek Lee and an injured Daryle Ward left the Cubs in need of a first baseman.
