The Scratch Perverts are a collective of turntablist DJs from Scotland, formed in 1996 by Tony Vegas, Prime Cuts and DJ Renegade.
The Scratch Perverts originally consisted of 4 members; Tony Vegas, Renegade, First Rate and Mr Thing. The Scratch Perverts later expanded to an 8-member crew with the addition of Prime Cuts, Harry Love, Killa Kela and Plus One. The collective split for a short period in 2000, then reformed with just 3 members; Tony Vegas, Prime Cuts and Plus One. The other members did not reform due to artistic differences, and have gone on to pursue individual projects.
The Scratch Perverts have garnered widespread acclaim. The team won the first DMC Team championships in 1999, claiming it again in the 'Perverted Allies' alias (a fusion of the Perverts and the Allies DJ crews). Additionally Prime Cuts claimed 2 consecutive ITF World Scratching titles, and Plus One won the Vestax battle in 2000, not begetting his returning the DMC World crown to the UK after a hiatus of 10...
