Sebastián Miranda began his career in the field of Spanish soccer stadium in Las Condes. Subsequently decided to try his luck in the Spanish lower divisions of Union, 1996.
In 1998 he joined the Spanish club's first team, led by Guillermo Yávar then when the club was in Second Division. That year he was summoned to two games, but failed to debut until 2001 against Colo-Colo at the Estadio Nacional.
After classifying the stage of play-offs of the Torneo Apertura 2005, Miranda signed for Red Bull Salzburg of Austria, where he played briefly. This prevented him from going around with his teammates, who finally is crowned champions of the Apertura tournament.
