It starred David Niven, Deborah Kerr, Rita Hayworth, Burt Lancaster, Wendy Hiller, Gladys Cooper, Felix Aylmer, and Rod Taylor. It was nominated for seven Oscars, winning two (Niven for Best Actor and Hiller for Best Supporting Actress).
Burt Lancaster was also co-producer (Hecht-Hill-Lancaster). Rita Hayworth was married to James Hill at the time.
