His father, Mike, was an all-state high school football player. His brother, Marcus, is a former football player at Virginia Tech and the Canadian Football League, his brother Shawn participates in extreme sports, and his younger brother Sam was a lineman at Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tennessee. Seth McClung was named the Head coach of the Pinellas Park Girls High School Basketball team for the 2010-2011 season. McClung is taking the current season off and is working his way for a comeback to the major leagues in 2011.
Seth is married, he and his wife live in the Tampa Bay area.
