Shane Dronett (January 12, 1971 – January 21, 2009) was an American football defensive lineman, who played for the NFL's Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons between 1992 and 2002.

Shane Dronett was born in Orange, Texas, and graduated from Bridge City High School in Bridge City, Texas in 1989. He attended the University of Texas at Austin on a football scholarship and in 1991 he was named an All-American.
Dronett was selected in the second round of the 1992 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos as an end. In his first season with the Broncos, he played in all 16 games. He played for the Broncos from 1992-1995.
In 1996, Dronett joined the Atlanta Falcons. Dronett then played briefly for the Detroit Lions also in 1996. In 1997, the Falcons hired Dan Reeves (who originally drafted Dronett to play for the Broncos) to be their new head coach; he re-signed Dronett who had just been released by the Lions.
