Sharon K. Herbst (b. November 26, 1942 – d. January 26, 2007) was an American cookbook and culinary books author.

Born as Sharon Tyler in Chicago, she was raised in Denver, Colorado. She may have been best-known for her fourth book, the culinary reference work, The Food Lover's Companion.
She and her husband of 38 years, and the co-author of some of her books, Ron Herbst, had lived in Bodega Bay, California since 2003. They met in Denver in the late 1960s while working at the same luxury hotel.
Herbst was also a food and travel journalist, who had appeared on television shows such as Good Morning America and Today. She was also a past president and board member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals.
She died at her Bodega Bay, California home, aged 64, following a three-and-a-half-year battle with ovarian cancer.
