Shinzon is a clone of Captain Jean-Luc Picard created by the Romulan with the intent of replacing Picard and bringing about the downfall of the United Federation of Planets. At the beginning of Nemesis, Shinzon leads a coup d'ￃﾩtat of the Romulan Senate, becoming praetor.
